Once you are placed in your groups choose a particular drug to research for your assignment. Pick one of the following:
Marijuana
Ecstasy
Heroin
Cocaine
Opium
PCP (Phenocyclidine)
Methamphetamine
Once you have chosen a drug to research, assign each member of your group to a particular area to cover. Their are three main things to cover:
The two interviews (questionaires)
Background knowledge of drug and its common uses
Effects it hsa on your mind and body and what can influence the drug user, eg. family and friends.
This assignment and all the research and statistics you find will be presented to the class on the third day using the Prezi software and shoudl take 5 minutes to present to myself as the editor and your fellow colleagues.
Day 2
Continue working oin your assignments for the newspaper. Any queries you have, now would be the time to ask. Focus on the format of questionaires and figuring out the right questions to ask as well as confirming who the two people you are interviewing will be. Include images as well as video clips to enhance your presentation. Make sure to include how the drug user was influenced as well as referenced.
In the presentation their should be:
Title Page
Introduction/contents
Background history of drug
Images to back your presentation
Effects of drug
Video clips
Family and friends influence
Any other form of media you find to be relevant
Conclusion and your thoughts on drugs
Day 3
Finalise everything with your group and prepare to present it.
